Friday night’s book signing at Barnes & Noble at West Park Mall in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, was both enjoyable and successful. It was an honor to meet and greet so many people, revisit people I hadn’t seen since last year’s signing, take pictures, and just chit-chat.
A few highlights for which I am both humbled and grateful, as I posted on Facebook:
Concerning Friday night’s book signing at Barnes & Noble, a few highlights are on my mind. 1) My friend Laura Hatton drove 5 hours from her home in Indiana to be there, stayed a little while, and then had to drive the 5 hours back home because she had to work the next day! Say what?! 2) A young man from church stopped by and said he didn’t have the money left from his paycheck to purchase a book, but he still wanted to stop by to show his support. Amazing! 3) Several took the time to come even though they had already purchased my book/s prior to the event; they just wanted to have me sign them. Incredible! I feel the love! I am humbled by everyone who came, wanted to be there but couldn’t, sent well-wishes, prayed for me, etc. You’re all very much appreciated.
