“You talk from the time you wake up ’til the time you go to sleep!” I wonder if my mom knew when she complained about this when I was a child that my speaking would end up serving others well. As a student, as a teacher, as a presenter, as a preacher…I love to speak!
But speaking, for me, isn’t about wasting words. Speaking is about listening to others–where they are, what matters to them, why they do what they do and feel what they feel–then taking that and, through the power of sincere words, inspiring and encouraging. Words are powerful. Within them is found life or death. We choose. I endeavor to use my words to speak life.
Having the opportunity to keynote events and preach messages and facilitate workshops, I’m always moved by the people who approach me afterwards to say the message brought them hope or challenged their thinking or made them both laugh and cry. There’s nothing like it. I’m humbled.
You know, life is a trip, and I’ve been on quite a journey, and, frankly, it blows my mind that my life story can be used to aid someone in theirs. God doesn’t waste a thing.
If you need someone to speak at your event, here I am. My mom’s pronouncement wasn’t that far off. I still speak–all the time. I listen, and then I speak. Let me speak life to your group.

Adrienne, I’m sitting here Sunday morning watching your You Tube channel. You are talking the WNPBA. Most everything you say I agree with. You asked a question this am about who must be advising these players. I have a name for you, Megan Rapinoe, this woman about tore apart the National Soccer team,, with her single minded purpose of gaining everything equal to the men’s team. These people don’t realize that they are not basketball players first, they are entertainers and entertainers are paid according to the amount of money they bring in. Unfortunately the women will never be equal to the men in that regard, but that doesn’t diminish the Women’s game, I’ve only recently started watching and I am astounded by the physical skill these ladies possess, the speed, quickness and the way some of them can move. I’s a shame the WNBA doesn’t promote this part of the women’s game.
Well that’s the most I’ve said in a long time. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
